4. First Aid Measures
- Inhalation:
- Remove to fresh air. Consult physician/medical help if respiratory is not relieved by fresh air. Give artificial respiration or oxygen if necessary.
- Eye Contact:
- Rinse eyes immediately with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes and contact physician as needed. (S26)
- Skin Contact:
- Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with soap and water. If irritation persists or if contact has been prolonged, obtain medical attention.
- Ingestion:
- Wash out mouth with water, do not induce vomiting. Consult physician.
5. Fire Fighting Measures
- Fire point and Auto-Ignition Temperature:
- Fire Point: 102°C (method: ASTM D92)

- Extinguishing Media:
- Dry Chemical powder, CO2, foam, sand, Water spray should be used. Never used direct water jet.
- Fire Fighting Instruction:
- Firemen have to wear full protective clothing with self-contained breathing apparatus to prevent contact with skin and eyes.
- Evacuate area and fight fire from a safe distance.
- Hazardous polymerization may occur under fire condition, and toxic fumes may be released.
6. Accidental Release Measures
- Personal Precautions:
- Extinguish naked flames. Remove ignition sources. No smoking. Avoid sparks. Evacuate the area of all non-essential personnel. Shut off leaks, if possible, without personal risk. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. Do not breathe vapor, mists or aerosols. Ventilate contaminated area thoroughly. Take precautionary measures against static discharge.
- Personal Protection:
- Wear neoprene gloves, PVC chemical resistant suit with integral hood and knee length rubber safety boots. Wear full-face piece respirator with organic vapor canister. In a confined space, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
- Environmental Precautions:
- Prevent contamination of soil and water. Prevent from spreading or entering into drains, ditches or rivers by using sand, earth or other appropriate barriers. Advise relevant authorities if contamination occurs.
- Clean Up Method
- Absorb, or contain with sand, earth or similar inert absorbent material.
- Shovel up and keep in a tightly closed container for disposal.
- Put leaking containers in a labeled drum.
